Summary:
After years spent helping manage her family's Christian bookstore, it's time for Adrie Chandler to give her own dream of playing her flute with a symphony orchestra a chance. But can she really trust the beloved shop to new manager Ross Peterson? The man is too handsome, too charming. . .and too much a reminder of another dream Adrie had to let go of — marriage. Yet Ross surprises her by knowing a thing or two about making sacrifices. Suddenly, Adrie is questioning what she really wants. And whether the dreams she once thought unlikely are within reach after all.

A Trusting Heart Wins Carol Award!
September 24th was a magical evening for me…as I attended the Gala Award Banquet of the American Christian Fiction Writers’ Conference in St. Louis. My stomach quivered, and I was thankful the lights were low while I waited to hear the announcement of the winners of the Carol Awards. After a lovely dinner, I heard my named called. My novella, A Trusting Heart, in CHRISTMAS MAIL-ORDER BRIDES, was the first winner. I walked on stage, faced the bright lights, and spoke to about 700 people to accept the award. I’m very grateful for all the wonderful authors in ACFW who have reached back and helped me on my writing journey. I hope I will always follow their example and help others so that together we can all write stories that tell the world about God’s love and truth.

ACFW Conference in St. Louis
The annual American Christian Fiction Writers’ Conference is always one of the highlights of the year for me. In the past ten years I’ve been blessed to build many special friendships with other authors, editors and agents. We enjoy great teaching, worship, and fellowship each time we meet. Here are a fun few photos from this year’s conference.

What I’m Writing Now

I've been busy working on my next book for Love Inspired,
A FAIRHAVEN CHRISTMAS
, which includes some of the same characters you met in SEEKING HIS LOVE and A MAN TO TRUST. Marianna Russo, a warm and caring personal chef with a history of heartbreak, returns to her hometown to raise her young daughter, Emma. She hopes to start her own business and give her daughter the happy childhood she never had. Then Alex Jameson, the man she secretly admired in high school, hires her to cook for his ailing grandmother, and their friendship begins to blossoms into romance. But when Alex is offered a new job that would take him away from Fairhaven, Marianna’s old fears of abandonment resurface and threaten their relationship. Trouble is brewing in Fairhaven for Marianna and Alex, and I look forward to getting them out of it and providing you all with a happy ending. Here is a peek at our hero and heroine. A FAIRHAVEN CHRISTMAS releases November 2012.
